Quechua term sumak kawsay: “Living in plenitude, knowing how to live in harmony with the cycles of Mother Earth, of the cosmos of life and history, and in balance with every form of existence in a state of permanent respect (Demos, 2016)
This project is a collaboration with classmate Tyler Beatty, creating an installation that features cardboard pipes extending from the top of a tree, serving as amplifiers and conduits for a deeper interaction with nature. By allowing people to listen to the tree, they got the opportunity to engage with the natural world on a more intimate level.
